Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas would be open to a move to French giants PSG, the Independent have claimed.

The 35-year-old would apparently be interested in meeting with PSG’s Qatari owners, after a challenging season in which Spurs failed to qualify for the Champions League.

The Portuguese coach also faces the prospect of losing his star player Gareth Bale, with Real Madrid seemingly willing to offer a world-record fee of £85million for Spurs’ star player, an offer the White Hart Lane club may be unable to turn down.

PSG see Villas-Boas as a decent replacement for Carlo Ancelotti, who looks set to leave the club for Real Madrid as well, where he is first choice to take over from Jose Mourinho.

Villas-Boas has only been at Spurs for one season, but the offer of managing the super-rich Ligue 1 champions may be too good to turn down, and the former Porto boss is keen to establish himself as one of the world’s best managers, as he was widely tipped to become after his success in Portugal.

Things have not quite worked out for him in England with Chelsea and Tottenham, and a move abroad could appeal to him, as would the chance to work with star players and manage in the Champions League.

This news will come as a major blow to Tottenham fans, who will not want to see their manager and best player leave in the same summer.
