Porto and France defender Eliaquim Mangala insists he is not concerned by rumours linking him with a move to Chelsea, according to Sky Sports.

The 22-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best young defenders in the world, and recently made his debut for the French national team after a breakthrough year with Portuguese side Porto.

His performances have seen him attract attention from the likes of Manchester City and PSG, though Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is said to be heading the queue to sign him this summer.

Mourinho has recently returned to Stamford Bridge as manager and is being linked with a number of big purchases as he looks to put his stamp on the squad he has inherited from Rafael Benitez.

Supposedly, defence is an area he is looking to improve on, and he is prepared to sell David Luiz to Real Madrid or Barcelona to bring in Mangala as a replacement.

Asked about his future, Mangala simply said he is not letting it distract him from his football.

“I not am preoccupied about my future,” he said. “There have been many rumours in the papers in the last few days, but I am very calm.

“My objective is to work each day and to progress in my club. I am only thinking about to follow up for Porto the next season.

“I was also very happy with my debut for France, my dream is to play in the World Cup 2014.”
