Christen Eriksen- Ajax to Liverpool
The Dane has been regarded as one of the best young midfielders in Europe for many years now and has been repeatedly been linked with a move away from Dutch giants Ajax. Many pundits have said that it could be time for the midfielder to test himself in another league and it appears that this could be the season that Eriksen moves on, with long term admires Liverpool set to make a move for the Danish international. Eriksen only has one year left on his contract at Ajax and it is unlikely that he will sign a new deal, meaning the Dutch club must sell him this summer or risk losing him on a free transfer.
Liverpool are set to bid £15 million for the midfielder, with Reds boss Brendan Rodgers looking to sign the midfielder and bed him into the clubs starting eleven. Eriksen fits Liverpool’s style of play and would be a very good addition for the club this summer. The Reds are unlikely to face much competition for the midfielder, with their closest rivals Borussia Dortmund having already signed midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Roma are also thought to be interested in Eriksen but Liverpool appear favourites at the moment.
