Leandro Damiao- Internacional to Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs have been linked with a move for Damiao, with reports suggesting that the North London club have been tracking the striker for the best part of two years. The club were close to signing Damiao in January but couldn’t agree terms with Internacional, leaving manager Andre Villas-Boas frustrated. The club are back for Damiao this summer however, with AVB desperate to add attacking talent to his squad this summer. Spurs struggled to score goals last season and fell agonisingly short of a Champions League place. AVB won’t allow that to happen again and is insisting that the club sign two quality strikers. Damiao is thought to be one of his main targets and the striker looks ready to move to Europe at last, following many of his countrymen who now play away from Brazil. It was thought that Damiao wanted to be at a club that was in the Champions League but refused to rule out a move to Spurs earlier in the summer. AVB will hope that they can finally land a player who has been on the clubs radar for a very long time.
