Darren Bent- Aston Villa to Newcastle United or Fulham
Bent has had a frustrating time at Villa Park, spending most of last season on the bench with manager Paul Lambert preferring to use Christan Benteke in attack. It now appears that Bent’s Aston Villa career is over, with Lambert telling him that he won’t play for the club again. Their are no shortage of potential suitors for Bent, who was once one of the Premier League’s most prolific marksmen. Newcastle United have been interested in Bent for awhile, with Alan Pardew seeing the striker as the ideal man to replace Demba Ba, who left the Magpies for Chelsea in January. Fulham have recently entered the race to sign Bent, with Martin Jol interested in partnering the Englishman with Dimitar Berbatov next season.
