London club weighing up bid for Argentine star.
Tottenham are preparing a bid for PSG midfielder Javier Pastore according to The Daily Star. The Argentine midfielder moved to the French giants just two years ago but has struggled to make much of an impact on the PSG first team.
While Pastore is undoubtedly talented, he has found his route to first team football blocked by the presence of the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marco Verratti.
With next summer’s World Cup finals tournament in Brazil just around the corner, Pastore is thought to be ready to consider a move as he looks to secure first team football and book his place in the Argentinian national squad.
Pastore is unlikely to come cheap, with the Ligue 1 champion having spent around £36 million to bring him in from Palermo.
But Spurs would be unlikely to have to match that fee considering Pastore’s recent lack of pitch time.
Regardless, the White Hart Lane club are likely to have money to spare soon should Gareth Bale complete a move to Real Madrid.
Latest reports are suggesting Bale’s move is likely to break the transfer world record so Tottenham can be expected to have cash to spare over the coming weeks.
