Ghana international on his way to completing Stamford Bridge switch.
Chelsea are closing in a deal to sign FC Porto attacker Christian Atsu as Jose Mourinho looks to further strengthen his Blues squad before the transfer window slams shut according to the Daily Express.
THe 21 year old Ghanaian international is into the final year of his Estadio Dragao contract and is set to complete a £3m move to Chelsea, a fee the Primeira Liga side is willing to accept rather than watch the youngster leave on a free transfer in less than 12 months.
Both Tottenham and Everton are said to be keen on the speedy FC Porto man though is seemingly keen on securing a move to West London. The move could well leave a number of current Chelsea player’s concerned about their standing under returning boss Mourinho.
Victor Moses and Demba Ba may well be considering their options in the face of a mounting number of summer additions with Atsu looking likely to join Andre Schurrle, Marco van Ginkel, Mark Schwarzer and Willian at the Premier League club.
Atsu made 31 appearances in all competitions for FC Porto last term, although 19 of these were from the bench and would join compatriot Michael Essien at Chelsea should he secure a move to Stamford Bridge.
