White Hart Lane set sights on yet another midfield signing?
Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is reportedly planning an ambitious move to lure PSG youngster Adrien Rabiot to White Hart Lane according to TuttoMercato.
The rangy 18 year old midfielder has impressed since breaking into the PSG first team though Villas-Boas may be counting on the French Under 21 international’s progress being hampered by the countless established signings the Ligue 1 side have made in recent times as a motivating factor for any possible Parc des Princes exit.
Rabiot is a strong tackling midfielder who likes to push forward to support the attack though one has to wonder if Tottenham need yet more central midfield options.
Villas-Boas offloaded the likes of Scott Parker, Tom Huddlestone and Clint Dempsey but still has a host of options in this regard in his squad. Given that at best only two of the following; Paulinho, Moussa Dembele, Etienne Capoue and Lewis Holtby, can fit into the Tottenham starting eleven in central areas Rabiot could have as tough a time of it at the North London club as he will at PSG.
Rabiot is yet to start a Ligue 1 match this term and despite his presence in the PSG first team set-up for the best part of a year the starlet has only made two senior starts for the big spending French capital club.
