Stamford Bridge side set to register bid for German international.
Chelsea are to join an ever expanding queue forming at the door of Schalke youngster Julian Draxler according to the Daily Express.
The 20 year old German international admitted during the summer transfer window that he’d consider a move abroad and a number of English clubs are now chasing the hugely talented midfield wonder-kid with Jose Mourinho and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger taking a keen interest in Draxler.
The Blues boss will return with a January bid for the rangy midfielder and will hope that a £25m bid will tempt Schalke into selling the youngster, who is currently tied down to a long term contract that is set to run until 2018.
Draxler combines the abilities of a defensive midfielder as well as an attacking link between midfield and attack and could be seen by Mourinho as a long term prospect to good to pass up an interest in.
Julian Draxler already has 121 club appearances to his name, during which time has has scored 25 goals and the Schalke man is also a regular in Joachim Low’s German national team set-up and would surely secure an even more prominent role at international level following a potential high profile move to Chelsea.
