Ligue 1 side attempt ambitious Stamford Bridge raid.
Big spending Ligue 1 side AS Monaco are apparently keen on signing Chelsea skipper John Terry according to the Metro.
The 32 year old defender has discovered a new lease of life under Jose Mourinho, starting all eight Premier League fixtures thus far this season, and as such it seems unlikely that the Blues hero would consider a move to join Monaco though there are still question marks over his long term future at Stamford Bridge.
Terry will be out of contract in the summer and as yet no new deal has been offered to the defender though Mourinho is sure to be pushing Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to make an offer sooner rather than later.
AS Monaco are of course managed by former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri and the Italian has seen his side start the current campaign with a bang with the principality club currently unbeaten after ten matches, sitting just behind PSG in their first season back in the French top tier.
John Terry is into his 16th seasons in the Chelsea first team set-up and has notched up 585 appearances for the West London side, helping the club to three Premier League titles, five FA Cup triumphs and a Champions League success.
