Chelsea are readying a mammoth £30m bid for Southampton left-back Luke Shaw according to the Daily Express.

The offer would smash the British record fee paid for a teenager, which still stands at the £27m Man United spent on Wayne Rooney back in 2004.
Arsenal and Tottenham are also keen on the 18 year old Saints star but Jose Mourinho will hope that his mammoth bid would persuade the St Mary’s side into selling Shaw to the West London club.
Shaw is reportedly a Chelsea fan and is seen by the Blues as a replacement for veteran Ashley Cole.
Southampton chairman Nicola Cortese will demand a massive fee for Shaw, who has only recently signed a new five year contract, and a bid of £30m would surely be practically impossible for the South Coast side to turn down.
Shaw has made 39 appearances for Southampton and has already represented the England Under 21 side and could follow in the footsteps of Gareth Bale, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott on his way to a high profile move to London.
