Liverpool are close to landing Barcelona midfielder Cristian Tello on loan for the remainder of the season, according to reports in Give Me Sport.

Spanish newspaper Marca has claimed that the under-21 international is desperate to move away from the Nou Camp in order to get some valuable and much needed playing time under his belt and the defending champions are said to be willing to grant him his wish by allowing him out on a short term deal.
Reports have hinted that a deal is close, and that Tello is just “one step” away from completing the switch to help Brendan Rodgers’ side recover their title credentials, which have taken a knock in recent weeks thanks to some shaky results.
Cristian Tello is very close to leaving [Barcelona] in the January transfer window. And, according to Radio Marca, the Barca player is just one step away from leaving to join Liverpool on loan, The report in Marca said.
A few months ago Tello reveal his displeasure at the limited game time he was getting under [Tata] Martino. ”If you can not play at the club I may leave,” he said barely a month ago.
The deal could have a clause that will allow both parties to make the move a permanent one in the summer should all be happy to do so.
