Chelsea’s pursuit of a new striker has been well documented and should they manage to bring one on board that it is obvious that the player to suffer will be the former Newcastle man.

Ba’s problem is that Chelsea is probably a step too high for him, and as a number of Premier League sides continue to monitor his situation the Blues could still command a healthy fee for his services and he would be afforded the chance to re-launch his career at a club more suited to his abilities.
