The 28 year old Magpies star will apparently complete a move to the Parc des Princes just as soon as Alan Pardew secures a deal to sign Remy Cabella from Montpellier according to Canal +.
Cabaye has been in excellent form this term and was the subject of genuine interest from Arsenal, who were unwilling to offer £20m+ for the talented cultured midfielder.
Laurent Blanc has been chasing Cabaye for some time and the move to the French capital will offer the St James’ Park schemer the chance to ply his trade in the Champions League.
Newcastle United paid Lille £4.8m to sign Cabaye back in June 2011 and look set to make a massive profit from his sale, which in part will be used to lure Cabella to act as a ready made replacement.
Cabaye has scored seven goals in 17 Premier League fixtures this season and a move to PSG will aid his push for a prominent role in Didier Deschamps 2014 World Cup squad.
