Liverpool will reportedly challenge Tottenham in the race to sign Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic according to talkSPORT.

The 23 year old is currently on loan at Ajax but has struggled to make an impact and has stated that he will consider his options at the end of the current campaign with a permanent Nou Camp exit seeming very likely.

Barcelona sold Bojan to AS Roma in July 2011, ending the youngster’s lengthy spell at the club he had represented since the age of nine. However the pint sized forward failed to impress at the Stadio Olimpico and was loaned to AC Milan before his former Catalan side re-signed the Spanish international last summer.

Brendan Rodgers appears to see Bojan as a possible striking reinforcement and one imagines such a move would be with a view to selling loaned out forward Fabio Borini on a permanent basis and could perhaps see recent signing Iago Aspas also make an Anfield exit.

Though Bojan has struggled of late he has proven himself during a career that has already seen the youngster rack up almost 250 top tier appearances.
