Ligue 1 side want Stamford Bridge ace.
AS Monaco are readying a £20m bid for Chelsea youngster Romelu Lukaku according to Football Direct News.
The big spending Ligue 1 side will hope to lure the young Belgian international to the Stade Louis II and one imagines Blues boss Jose Mourinho would be ready to cash-in on the 20 year old.
Lukaku has spent the past two seasons out on loan and may well not be part of Mourinho’s long term plans and as such the chance to secure £20m from his sale will prove tempting.
The former Anderlecht man has more than proven himself at Premier League level, netting 17 goals for West Brom last term and ten times for Everton this season, however Mourinho’s decision to allow the forward to leave for Goodison Park was perhaps a sign that he didn’t feel Lukaku worthy of a prominent role in his first team set-up.
Interest from Monaco in Lukaku will lead invariably to speculation that Colombian Radamel Falcao could be sold in the summer, with the former FC Porto an Atletico Madrid man repeatedly linked with interest from Europe’s elite prior to suffering an injury that has ruled him out for the rest of the current campaign.
