White Hart Lane side continue to pursue Stamford Bridge youngster.
Tottenham continue to pursue Chelsea youngster Romelu Lukaku who the White Hart Lane side feel could be the ideal man to improve their ailing attack according to the Daily Mail.
The 20 year old may well not be part of Jose Mourinho’s long term Blues plans but that hasn’t stopped the West London side slapping a whopping £35m price-tag on the Belgian, which would represent a club record signing for Tottenham.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has seen the massive sums invested in Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado, who were both club record purchases when they were brought in by the North London club last summer, wasted with neither striker making a consistent impact this term.
Luckily Tim Sherwood has been able to rely upon Emmanuel Adebayor to provide the finishing touches in the final third, the Togo international scoring eight goals in 14 Premier League starts.
However Tottenham are unlikely to secure a top four finish and that may well lead Lukaku to look elsewhere.
Borussia Dortmund are also said to be keen on the powerful marksman as are Everton, who he is currently on loan to.
It is perhaps surprising that Mourinho doesn’t wish to give Lukaku a chance to impress in the Chelsea first team given the successes he has enjoyed during loan spells at West Brom and Goodison Park in recent seasons.
