Stamford Bridge side look to bring in long term Frank Lampard replacement.

Check in to Swansea City vs Chelsea

Chelsea are ready to offer Brazilian David Luiz as bait in their pursuit of Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal in a deal that may tempt Antonio Conte into doing business with the Blues.

Football Direct News claim that Stamford Bridge boss Jose Mourinho has earmarked a move for impressive goal-scoring playmaker Vidal as a long term replacement for veteran Frank Lampard.

The 26 year old Chilean has impressed during his three season in Italy and with a third successive domestic title likely to be clinched in the coming weeks.

Vidal has racked up 28 goals and 17 assists in 94 appearances in Serie A alone since moving to Juventus in July 2011.

Mourinho may well be willing to sacrifice Luiz in his goal to bring in Vidal as the former Benica man has played a limited role at Chelsea since the Portuguese boss returned to west London.

Luiz has started less than half of Chelsea’s Premier League fixtures this term, this after playing a pivotal role in the club’s Champions League and Europa League triumphs in previous campaigns.
