Belgian wonderkid Thorgan Hazard, the younger brother of world-class winger Eden, wants to play Premier League football with Chelsea next season, reports the Daily Star.
The 21-year-old is on loan at Belgian Pro League outfit Zulte-Waregem, and has been nothing short of sensational this season. Not only has he scored 13 times from the wing, but he’s assisted an astonishing 19 goals as well.
His form has not gone unnoticed of course, and many Chelsea fans are drooling over the prospect of having a Hazard brother on either flank at some point in the future.
The younger sibling seems to like the thought of this too, and has confirmed that he has plans to play in the Premier League next season.
“At the end of the season, I’ll return to Chelsea,” Thorgan Hazard said.
“Then we will discuss our options.
“But next season I would like to play in the Premier League or in the Bundesliga.
“Chelsea will decide, but I won’t stay in Belgium.”
Of course, it’s possible that the young winger will be sent on loan again, but to a side in the Premier League or the Bundesliga. With the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Andre Schurrle and January signing Mohamed Salah all occupying the attacking midfield positions, Thorgan Hazard’s chances of regular first-team action seem fairly slim.
His talent is undeniable though, and there’ll be plenty of suitors in both England and Germany if Jose Mourinho did sanction another loan deal for the wide man.
