Spaniard’s current deal runs out in June 2017.
Premier League giants Chelsea are set to reward in-form full-back Cesar Azpilicueta for his consistent season at the back for the west London club by offering the Spaniard a new bumper contract at Stamford Bridge this summer, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The Spain international has been an absolute revelation in defence so far in this campaign, and not only that, but Azpilicueta has also been played in an unfamiliar left-back role as opposed to his more favoured right-back berth by returning Blues head coach Jose Mourinho.
And as a result of the 24-year-old’s consistent displays for the west Londoners, regular left back Ashley Cole has barely been able to get a game for the club throughout the campaign, and now Mourinho is said to want to hand Azpilicueta a new deal with a salary hike up to £70,000 per week.
To date, the defender has featured in a total of 41 games for Chelsea in all competitions, managing one assist and one goal along the way, although there are still reports claiming that Mourinho will try and sign either Sevilla’s Alberto Moreno or Atletico Madrid’s Filipe Luis this summer.
