Everton are said to be lining up a £10m swoop for Chelsea striker Demba Ba this summer to replace Romelu Lukaku, who has impressed on loan at Goodison Park this season but looks set to be on his way back to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, according to the Mail On Sunday.

Toffees chief Roberto Martinez is on the lookout for another striker this summer as he hopes to bring in someone to fill the boots of the Belgian international, and he is said to be a fan of former Newcastle man Ba, who has scored some crucial goals in recent weeks.

However, despite scoring the opener in the 2-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield and the winner against PSG in the Champions League quarter-final last month, Demba Ba is considered surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are believed to be looking to add at least one new striker this summer, but Everton are believed to hold a long standing interest in the Senegal international, having made an inquiry for him last summer before Lukaku became available.

Ba has apparently been told that he is free to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after becoming disillusioned with life under Jose Mourinho.
