Eto’o is really twisting the knife on his current manager.
The future of Samuel Eto’o at Chelsea looks extremely doubtful as the striker criticises Jose Mourinho for the second time since the season finished.
Previously the 33-year-old dubbed Mourinho a ‘fool’ for having been caught joking about how old Eto’o really was and now the Cameroon international is back with more insults.
“Contrary to what a puppet says about my age, I am still physically fit,” the forward told cafonline.com.
“At 33, I feel real good. I have proven that I could do better than youths.
“I will continue at the top level. I will continue to play the Champions League.”
Whilst Eto’o claims he wants to continue playing at the top level of European football, that looks unlikely to be in a Blues shirt and the African is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer when his current contract expires.
The forward joined the west Londoners from Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013 as the Russian club had to sell their best stars in order to drastically lower their wage bill.
Eto’o joined the Premier League side due to his relationship with Mourinho, with the pair having won the treble together with Inter Milan back in 2010.
Yet since then things between the two men appear to have become strained and the Cameroonian could join Ashley Cole on the list of high profile names leaving the club this year.
