Mega-rich Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg and Tottenham Hotspur are set to go head to head this summer in the battle to sign in-demand Chelsea front man Romelu Lukaku, according to reports in the Daily Express.

Find out who are the most valuable players in world football.

The giant Belgium international has just completed a season-long loan spell at Everton, where Lukaka proved himself to be a huge success by finding the back of the net on 15 occasions in his 31 Premier League outings on Merseyside, as well as also creating eight goals for Toffees team-mates too.

However, with Lukaku having since returned to Stamford Bridge following the completion of his short-term switch to Everton, there is now a raft of speculation as to where the 21-year-old will be plying his trade next season, with now both Zenit and Spurs said to be lining up £20m bids in order to land the player this summer.

And with his employers in west London said to be keen to make a profit on the initial £17m transfer fee which they paid Anderlecht to sign Lukaku in August 2011, it seems that the attacker could now be on his way out of the Bridge.
