The Senegalese hit man is said to have been frustrated at his lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge this season with both Samuel Eto’o and Fernando Torres consistently being picked ahead of him.
And with chelsea looking to sign Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid and Ezequiel Lavezzi from PSG, Ba’s appearances next season could be even more limited.
However, it is believed that boss Jose Mourinho is looking to keep hold of the former Newcastle United striker next season despite apparently having decided on his preferred starting front line.
Ba managed to get on the scoresheet just five times last season, but all five goals were fairly crucial in both the Premier League and the Champions League – one of which knocked Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain out of the Europe’s most elite club competition.
