Hammers keen to snap up departing full-back.
West Ham United are said to be reading a move to pounce for Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole should the Stamford Bridge outfit decide not to offer him a fresh contract extension this month, according to the Metro.

With the likes of George McCartney, Jack Collison and Joe Cole all making exits from the Boleyn Ground this summer, manager Sam Allardyce will be looking for recruits to fill the void and help take the club on from their disappointing campaign last season.
This has led to the club looking for new recruits both on free transfers and bigger, more expensive stars.
Cole could be set to end his eight year association with the West London club after finding himself out of the side on a regular basis and following his omission from England’s World Cup squad he now faces an uncertain future at club level, too.
However, there will be no shortage of suitors looking to land his signature and he may well be tempted to cross London to link up with the Hammers.
Sam Allardyce has a proven track record with taking more senior stars and prolonging their careers at a high level as he did with Bolton Wanderers, and the side are reportedly prepared to offer Cole a lucrative deal in order to bring him on board.
