Blues youngster reportedly turns down exit.Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has reportedly turned down an offer to sign for West Ham United as he wants to be playing Champions League football next season, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Belgian international was also linked with a move to the Hammers last summer, but instead opted for a season-long loan switch to Everton, where he shone again after also impressing on loan with West Bromwich Albion in the 2012/13 season.
Despite emerging as one of the most promising young strikers in Europe with his displays in the Premier League, Lukaku looks no nearer gaining a regular place in the Chelsea first-team, leading to speculation that he will look for an exit from Stamford Bridge this summer.
However, he is clearly not in a hurry to jump at the first team to show an interest in him, as he wants to be playing in the Champions League next season, putting an end to a proposed move to Upton Park.
Bigger names such as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Juventus have also shown an interest in the 21-year-old, and the player will be hoping some fine form at this summer’s World Cup for Belgium can help him get the move he wants.
