Chelsea’s 21-year old striker Romelu Lukaku has rejected advances from a surprisingly ambitious West Ham United side this summer, reports the Metro.
This is the second summer in row that the Belgian has rejected the chance to join Sam Allardyce’s team as he is keen on playing European football next season.
Lukaku’s future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain but the youngster knows that his fruitful loan spells at West Brom and Everton in the Premier League could warrant bigger and better offers in the future.
The likes of Atletico Madrid and Wolfsburg are both said to be keen on the former Anderlecht man, who might think that a move to West Ham could very much be a step down in his promising career.
Lukaku still has 2 years left on his Chelsea contract though, and one cannot rule out the possibility of the Blues keeping him in their first team next season in a bid to bolster their rather meek forward line.
