Portuguese boss changes his mind about Lukaku’s role in the side.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has now changed his mind about Blues striker Romelu Lukaku and wants to keep him in the squad for next season.
The Portuguese manager has reportedly slapped a £32 million price tag on the 21-year old, which is likely to put off any potential suitors interested in the Belgian international.
Lukaku and Mourinho had a falling out at the start of last season, when the Portuguese accused his starlet of shying away from competition at Chelsea.
The 51-year old boss was not happy that the former Anderlecht man had forced the Blues management to loan him out to Everton.
Despite Lukaku impressing with the Toffees, netting 16 times in 33 games in all competitions, Mourinho was reportedly inclined towards selling him.
However, both the player and coach seem to have reconciled this summer as Mourinho has rejected a loan deal from Juventus and several other purchase offers for the starlet, hinting that he might have the promising youngster in his squad for next season.
