1) Adam Lallana – Southampton – £30m
The 26-year-old midfielder is expected to push through a move to Liverpool when he returns home from the World Cup this summer. He didn’t get much of a chance in Brazil, but did enough last term to convince Liverpool to already make a £25m bid for his services, which the Saints turned down before the tournament commenced. They want £30m, which is steep considering Chelsea snared Cesc Fabregas for £27m. If Rodgers thinks he’s the man for the job though, Liverpool could stump up the big asking fee.
