Serie A Duo Go Head-To-Head For The Signing Of Chelsea Star

Fiorentina and Juventus interested in veteran striker Eto’o.

Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o, who has recently run down his contract at Stamford Bridge, may have had a tough time convincing the Londoners of his use next season, but he sure has no dearth of suitors, reports the Daily Express.

The 33-year old Cameroon international is said to have spiked a battle between Serie A clubs Juventus and Fiorentina, both of whom rate Eto’o very highly.

The former FC Barcelona striker wants to continue playing despite certain derogatory comments made about his age in the past, and feels that he has a point to prove to all his detractors by having a busy season in Italy.

It looks like Fiorentina and Juve still believe in the former Barca man’s credibility, and could offer the striker a big enough platform to express himself on the big stage.

Eto’o netted 12 goals for the Blues last season, and his vast European experience could augur well for both La Viola and the Old Lady.
