Reds need to be tenfold more ambitious in the transfer market…

Many Liverpool fans are tearing their hair out right now regarding the club’s transfer policy. While Arsenal secure Alexis Sanchez for £35m, the Reds are apparently preparing to sign Swansea pair Wilfried Bony and Ben Davies – and perhaps even more uninspiringly, Ryan Bertrand from Chelsea for £8m.
They’ve already spent £40m on Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can – none of which will notably improve last season’s starting XI.
Here’s ten stars that Liverpool SHOULD be targeting instead, with the imminent £75m Suarez windfall. Not all of these are entirely realistic, but Arsenal are proving with the signings of Mesut Ozil last season, and Alexis Sanchez now – that world-class players will move to the Premier League if they’re sold an exciting package.
10) Marco Reus – Borussia Dortmund
A truly world-class operator on the left or in attacking midfield. Reus can score, create and keep possession. Last term in the Bundesliga, he scored 16 goals and registered 13 assists.
