The French international midfielder has been heavily linked with a £60m move to Stamford Bridge this summer, and speculation was intensified over the past week after he was spotted in London.
However, after Pogba’s cousin explained that the star’s trip to London had nothing to do with Chelsea, or even football in general, Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, moved to back those claims up by dismissing the claims that he was in town to speak with the Blues.
“Paul to Chelsea? It’s just fantasy football,” he told Tuttosport .
“Everything is perfect at Juventus and no meetings are planned.”
Chelsea are already well stocked in the midfield department, having signed Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona last month, but that hasn’t stopped Blues boss Jose Mourinho from targeting Pogba and Real Madrid star Sami Khedira as he looks to make an improved challenge for honours next season.
Pogba has been linked with a host of clubs recently, and may still be forced out of Juventus after they admitted that they will have to sell either him or midfield partner Arturo Vidal.
