Reds plot move for another Southampton star
Liverpool could be set to make a raid on Southampton for the fourth time this summer, as they target Saints striker Jay Rodriguez as an alternative to Loic Remy, according to talkSPORT.
The England international was another impressive performer at the St Mary’s Stadium last season, and has also attracted recent interest from Tottenham Hotspur in this transfer window.
Southampton will be desperate not to lose another star player to Liverpool this summer, having already seen key trio Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren move to Anfield.
