Midfield:
Assuming Liverpool field a 4-4-2 to accommodate their new signings, they look strong in midfield too with Raheem Sterling on the right and £25m new-boy Adam Lallana arriving from Southampton to take up a role on the left-hand side. Highly promising youngster Emre Can could become first choice to partner Steven Gerrard in central midfield, though there looks to be no place for another of the club’s exciting new signings Lazar Markovic. The Serbian youngster will provide good depth for Liverpool in any one of the attacking midfield roles, with the Reds looking strong again in terms of technically skilled and creative midfield players.
