Chelsea, along with newly promoted side Burnley, are set to become the final teams to kick off their 2013/14 Premier League campaign when the two sides face off on Monday evening.

Jose Mourinho’s men will be expected to start their season with three points, but Sean Dyche’s Burnley were extremely solid in the Championship last season and are certain to put up a fight.

Mourinho had plenty of options, but this is the XI that we expect to take to the field at Turf Moor:

Goalkeeper and Defence

Thibaut Courtois Chelsea

GK) Thibaut Courtois – The Belgian is expected to be favoured to long-serving Petr Cech and to be handed his Premier League debut.

RB) Cesar Azpilicueta – Will be given the chance to start in his favoured right back position after impressing last season on the left.

CB) John Terry – The captain and leader of Chelsea, John Terry shows no sign of being caught up with by his advancing years.

CB) Gary Cahill – Former Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers centre back Gary Cahill is not a seasoned England international and has formed a solid partnership with Terry.

LB) Filipe Luis – The Brazilian is likely to be given his debut at left back having joined from La Liga champions Atletico Madrid this summer.
