The Costa Rican impressed greatly during the World Cup finals, especially during his side’s win over Italy in the group stages of the competition, and the Serie A side are willing to pay the 22 year old’s wages in full as part of a deal they hope will tempt Arsene Wenger into action.
Campbell has spent the past three seasons out on loan in France, Spain and Greece and has been ushered into the Arsenal first team set-up this season and made his Premier League debut yesterday and is seemingly a part of Wenger’s plans this term and as such may not be ready to loan out the cultured forward again.
Arsenal do not have a massive number of options in the final third so are not in a position to send players from their current squad away on temporary deals.
