Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has slammed Arsene Wenger over his use of playmaker Mesut Ozil, the Daily Star reports.

The German star was roundly criticised for his performance in Tuesday night’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund, which the Gunners lost 2-0.
The 24-year-old is a creative central midfielder and has had his best games for Arsenal playing in that position, but against Dortmund, Wenger used him as a winger, something that Morgan finds difficult to comprehend.
In an interview with talkSport the former Britain’s Got Talent judge said: “Ozil has just been run around on the left wing, right wing, down the centre.”
“There is no coherence to how we use him, and many Arsenal fans are saying he’s not putting in the performances, so why are we not getting the World Cup winner?
“Wenger is not playing him in the right position.
“When did Ozil become a winger? We payed £42million to play our best player out of position.”
Ozil joined the Gunners at the end of last summer and enjoyed an excellent first six months at the Emirates. However, during the second half of last season, the mercurial playmaker struggled with injuries which led to a loss of form.
Although he played a crucial role in helping Germany win the World Cup, Ozil has started this season in poor form.
Morgan’s stance mirrors that of many Arsenal fans, while there is also a portion who believe that despite being played in the wrong position, Ozil’s terrible forms warrants him being dropped from the first-team.
