The American had hoped to garner £200m from the sale of the Villa Park outfit but has now readjusted his assessment and will accept as little as £100m, this despite the club’s relatively encouraging start to the Premier League campaign.

Aston Villa currently sit in sixth spot in the Premier League table, with ten points garnered from their opening six fixtures.
