Against Villa last weekend their bench had a combined total of over 350 international appearances, something very few other teams could boast.
2) Quality at the back
Mourinho’s Chelsea are known for their defensive prowess, and it’s certainly not down to luck. With first choice centre-backs like Gary Cahill and John Terry they are able to shut out most strike forces, but even if one of the pair were to suffer an injury they have ample and able backups.
Branislav Ivanovic and Kurt Zouma are both fantastic options in the centre of defence and when compared to the options that their title rivals have Chelsea really are in a fantastic position.
