Manchester United’s new signings are struggling to understand their captain…
Manchester United new boy Marco Rojo has made a startling revelation regarding his captain, Wayne Rooney, admitting that he struggles to understand anything that he says.
Reports in the Daily Express quote the Argentine international, who made the £16m move from Sporting Lisbon to Old Trafford in August. He describes his captain as “professional”, but adds that he’s “funny when he speaks”.
Rojo said: “He jokes at me and Angel but I have to admit we don’t understand his jokes – because we don’t speak English. Soon I will understand because I want to learn the language and I am already taking lessons.”
The 24-year-old, who starred in his country’s run to the World Cup final this summer was playing in Argentina’s friendly game with Brazil earlier today – a match that ended in a 2-0 defeat, with Martins Diego Tardelli scoring both the goals.
He has played in four Premier League games thus far, helping the Red Devils return to the top four of the Premier League for the first time in over a year.
