United and Arsenal both set to miss out on midfield targets.
Real Madrid are ready to offer Sami Khedira to Juventus as part of an exchange deal to sign Arturo Vidal this January, according to Italian source Tuttosport.
The two players have been the subject of a great deal of transfer speculation in recent times, with Vidal known to be a top target for Manchester United, while Khedira has attracted strong interest from Arsenal.
However, both clubs now look set to miss out as the players could be involved in this intriguing swap deal between the two European giants, with Real smartly avoiding losing Khedira on a free transfer by offloading him this January.
The German international is out of contract at the Bernabeu next summer, but may now be offered the chance to leave the club for Juve this winter in a bid that would also see Real land a top class replacement for him in the middle of the park.
Vidal has become regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world and would make a great signing for the Spanish giants, who are known for expertly bringing in the biggest names in world football in the transfer market.
