Chelsea short of strikers ahead of league clash with the Red Devils
With Diego Costa already sidelined with a hamstring problem there was more concern for Jose Mourinho on Tuesday as Loic Remy was forced off the pitch during their Champions League encounter with Maribor.
Remy scored the opener for the Blues in a 6-0 rout, but the France international also damaged his groin in the process and Mourinho now only has 36-year-old Didier Drogba as an available striker, reports the Telegraph.
This could be good news for van Gaal’s side who host the table toppers on Sunday.
