Valdes will train with United to keep fit.
After Manchester United announced earlier that the club were allowing Spanish international goalkeeper Victor Valdes to train with them as he continues his rehabilitation following injury, the Daily Star have reported that United are ready to open talks with the former Barcelona man over a potential 18 month deal at Old Trafford.

Valdes has consistently been linked with Liverpool in recent weeks, potentially due to the poor form of Belgian first choice at Anfield, Simon Mignolet, and the fact that, as a free agent, Valdes can be both signed and registered for Premier League football outside of the transfer window.
He left the Nou Camp on a free transfer this summer after spending his entire career with the Catalan club and has been Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas’ long term understudy, although there are concerns over his all-round ability as a goalkeeper beyond the ability with his feet that made him so important to Barcelona under Pep Guardiola.
United signing Valdes would be an interesting move, with the Red Devils having young Spaniard David de Gea as undisputed first choice, but the fact that Real Madrid have been linked to de Gea, plus the lack of pressure put on by Anders Lindegaard, has perhaps led United to look at the player – with the Star suggesting that he will train with them to prove his fitness and undergo medical tests ahead of signing.
