Monterrey and Tigres UANL drew 2-2 in Mexico’s Clasico Regiomontano last weekend.
Tigres raced into a 2-0 half time lead, but two errors of judgement by their ‘keeper Nahuel allowed Monterrey to get back in the game.
Monterrey grabbed the equaliser with only four minutes remaining, saving their blushes of losing the final Clasico at their old ground – Estadio Tecnologico.
The two sides could yet face each other again in the post season play-offs. There are only three weeks left in the regular season and both are comfortably inside the top eight.
