The Colombian international is one of the most prolific strikers in Europe at the moment, and has long been linked with a move to a bigger club in a more competitive league.

AC Milan are also mentioned as possible suitors for him this winter, but it is claimed that his current asking price of £30m may be too expensive for all interested parties at the moment.

All three of Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs are in need of strengthening upfront and have been linked with several other big names in recent times, with Brendan Rodgers’ side suffering in particular after this summer’s departure of Luis Suarez in a £75m move to Barcelona.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are without the injured Olivier Giroud and have not seen the best of £16m signing Danny Welbeck yet, while Tottenham are still keen to improve on the misfiring duo of Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Martinez, who has 12 goals in 15 games this season, is seemingly available if these clubs do choose to pay up for his signature this winter.
