The Barcelona forward had claimed that while he he was playing in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Liverpool in April, one of the Blues’ players had said that he was embarrassed by the Portuguese’s tactics.
Mourinho reacted to the criticism from the Uruguayan by saying, “Was it another book? Books! I’ve not written a book, no. At 51, I might have enough of a story to tell to write one. But when you are 25? Then you can only write a book about when you are a kid?”
He then went even further, laying in to how the former Liverpool man had written an autobiography when he wasn’t even 30-years-old yet.
“I have an invitation to do a book but just one where I’ll choose 100 pictures of my career, and where I just make a little comment on every picture. A memory book. But not a book to tell ‘s***’ and to criticise people and to speak negative things about people who belong to my career. I won’t do that.”
The manager has also reacted harshly to comments made about him by other footballers. Jorge Valdano and Roy Keane are two that have merited the Chelsea manager’s scorn in the past.
