White Hart Lane side plan Stamford Bridge raid.
Tottenham are reportedly desperate to land Chelsea forward Andre Schurrle according to the Daily Express.
The White Hart Lane side will offer £25m for the German international but will have to see off interest from Liverpool, with Brendan Rodgers also keen on the 24 year old World Cup winner.
Jose Mourinho’s side spent £18m to bring in Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2013 but he has struggled to retain a foothold in the Chelsea starting eleven and by all accounts the Blues boss is ready to offload the versatile attacker.
Schurrle has started just four of Chelsea’s 11 Premier League fixtures this season and was subbed on all four occasions and could be tempted by a fresh challenge, fearful that that a lack of action could affect his standing in Joachim Low’s national team set-up.
Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid are also interested in Schurrle and one imagines an offer of £25m would certainly be considered by Chelsea.
Mourinho has done well to finance moves for additions with the sales of those he has deemed surplus to requirements and Schurrle may well be the latest star on his way to a Stamford Bridge exit.
