Victor Valdes will no be signed despite David de Gea dislocating his finger
There is some bad news for van Gaal concerning injuries after de Gea damaged his finger whilst on international duty with Spain.
The goalkeeper dislocated the little finger on his right hand and was ruled out of Saturday’s Euro 2016 qualifier with Belarus and is also expected to miss Tuesday’s friendly with Germany.
However, even if the 24-year-old’s problem is serious, the Telegraph reports that van Gaal will use backup ‘keeper Anders Lindegaard and isn’t tempted by signing free agent Valdes – who has been training with the club.
