Arsene Wenger has identified out-of-favour Lazio forward Keita Balde Diao as one of Arsenal’s priorities for the January transfer window, according to reports.
The teenager graduated from the Barcelona academy before moving to Lazio and impressed a great deal last term, making 35 appearances in all competitions, and is now a player Arsene Wenger wishes to bring to the Emirates Stadium.
The £8m rated attacker, who works most frequently in a left-wing berth, has struggled to secure regular action this term and is open to quitting the Stadio Olimpico and given Arsene Wenger’s famed ability to turn young pretenders into household names one imagines a move to Arsenal would tempt Diao.
One wonders what such a move would mean for the likes of Yaya Sanogo and Joel Campbell, two youngsters who haven’t been given all that much of a chance to impress in the Arsenal starting eleven.
Such a signing would certainly lead the pair to wonder as to there position at the Premier League side.
