England Player Ratings v Scotland: Wilshere And Rooney Shine At Celtic Park

Substitutes:

Phil Jagielka: 6/10

Came on for Gary Cahill at half time. Looked set for a comfortable evening before a late flurry from Scotland.

Adam Lallana: 7/10

Replaced Stewart Downing at the break. Instantly looked more comfortable on the ball, and showed more quality than the West Ham United man. Assisted Rooney’s second goal.

Raheem Sterling: 5/10

Replaced Danny Welbeck, who pulled up with a hamstring issue. Allowed Andrew Robertson to breeze past him with the weakest attempt at a challenge, and was frequently eased off the ball.

Kieran Gibbs: 6/10

Replaced Luke Shaw, who may have injured his ankle after a poor challenge. Gibbs is comfortable in defence and good on the ball, but much of England’s attack came down the right flank in the second half.

Rickie Lambert: 6/10

Wasn’t in the game much, but held the ball up well when he did receive it.

Ross Barkley: N/A

Not on long enough to rate.
